Since losing by unanimous decision to Sean Sherk (31-2-1) in October 2006, Kenny "KenFlo" Florian (8-3-0) has been on a mission to get another title shot.

Now riding a three-fight winning streak, he's well on his way.

On Wednesday, April 2, he'll try to take another step towards the top when he fights Joe "J-Lau" Lauzon (16-3-0) at UFC Fight Night 13, and while some fans are ready to see Florian fight a bigger name, he says that Lauzon is the best choice.

"Joe Lauzon is the best opponent out there right now," he tells insidefighting.com. "I can’t do anything if I don’t get past Joe Lauzon."

Even though Florian is the favorite to win the match, and a -220 favorite in the Bodog Sportsbook, he says he isn't looking past his opponent.

"By no means do I think it’s an easy fight," he explains. "I’m prepared for whatever. I’m taking this seriously and taking every precaution. I hope he realizes that he’s got someone who is not going to take him lightly."

"He’s trying to take away my dream and I can’t let anybody do that," Florian says. "I’ve worked too hard. I’m fighting for my family and there is so much more at stake. I’m trying to build a name and leave a legacy here."
