Mark Coleman to Fight Brock Lesnar in August UFC

Saturday March 1, in Columbus, Ohio was a big night for former UFC heavyweight champion Mark "The Hammer" Coleman (15-8-0).

Not only was 'The Hammer" inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, he also took the opportunity to announce his return to the octagon.

"This is an unbelievably special night," Coleman said, "but my main goal is to get back in the cage and fight. I’m not retired. I’m not retired."

"I’ve been asking Dana for a long time," he added. "He finally found me an opponent. He gave me five month’s notice”¦ Brock Lesnar."

Lesnar (1-1-0) made his octagon debut at UFC 79: Nemesis, losing to Frank Mir (11-3-0) in 90-seconds by kneebar. At 265-pounds, the 30-year old wrestler will enjoy a weight and age advantage over the 43-year old, 240-pound veteran.

"He’s a beast. He’s an animal," said Coleman “Don’t bet the house against me.”

The Coleman vs. Lesnar match will be on the undercard of an August event, which is expected to be headlined by a championship match between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (29-6-0) and Forrest Griffin (15-4-0).
