Marquez Promises to Beat Manny Pacquiao for WBC Belt

WBC Superfeatherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (47-3-1, 34 KO's) has no plans to hand over his belt to challenger Manny Pacquiao (45-3-2, 45 KO's) when the two fight on Saturday, March 15 in Las Vegas.
"I am hanging on to this," Marquez says of his title, "and it’s not going to be taken away from me and if Manny is going to try and get it, it’s going to cost him a lot."
Betting odds for Pacquiao vs. Marquez are now online in the Bodog Sportsbook. Currently, Marquez is a +175 underdog to retain his belt, while Pacquiao is the -215 favorite.
The first battle between the two, in May of 2004, ended in a controversial draw. This time around, the champ is assuring boxing fans that there will be a winner, and that it will be him.
"The people will watch a great fight and a war. I fight for my country, for Mexico and for my people," he explains. "I don’t know if I will win by knockout or decision, but I expect to win."
