Miguel Tejada is an Old Bastard

Houston Astros shortstop Miguel Tejada came out and admitted today he lied about his age before the Oakland Athletics signed him in 1993. Tejada is actually 33 years old, not 31 as he is listed in the team’s official media guide.

"I'm a poor kid that wanted to sign," Tejada told the Houston Chronicle. "I'm feeling free now. It's something that I had on my mind."

Good to know, old fella, but how about the steroids?

Tejada is still being questioned in the steroids witch hunt that continues to roll through Major League Baseball.

Tejada is currently hitting .328 with three homeruns and 11 RBIs. He and the Astros lost 10-2 to Philadelphia today. They head home to face Colorado in a three game series starting Friday.
