MLB Baseball Betting: Mariners at Angels

Scott Kazmir can’t be thrilled that he will face Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners in his first home start with the Los Angeles Angels tonight as the AL West rivals open a three-game series.

On Wednesday, Kazmir allowed two runs and three hits while striking out eight. But it wasn’t enough against Hernandez, who dominated the Angels for eight innings in Seattle’s 3-0 win.

The Angels have been struggling offensively lately, going 3-3 in their last six games despite scoring three or fewer runs five times over that span.

The Mariners split four games at Oakland over the long weekend, losing the last two, although Sunday’s 5-2 defeat had one major positive - Ichiro Suzuki’s 2,000th major league hit.

Kazmir is 3-2 with a 2.93 ERA in seven starts against the Mariners. Hernandez hasn’t been as good against the Angels, going 4-5 with a 4.40 in 15 starts.
