The Oakland A’s (+150) and Texas Rangers (-170) will battle for the lead in the American League West when they hook up on MLB baseball odds this Tuesday.
Colby Lewis (3-1, 3.03 ERA) will get the nod for Texas. Lewis has been excellent this season, though he took the 4-1 loss to these very A’s last week. Lewis allowed three runs in six innings.
Lewis, a righty, has enjoyed some success against the Athletics in the past, going 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA in seven appearances (five starts).
Trevor Cahill (1-1, 5.40 ERA) will start for Oakland. He allowed just one run—unearned—in five innings of last week’s win over the Rangers. It was his second start of the year.
Cahill has owned the A’s in his short career, going 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA in five career starts.
