Make sure to keep that in mind when the Cleveland Indians host the Detroit Tigers in the opener of their three-game series tonight.
The Indians have packed it in since the calendar turned to September. Cleveland has dropped eight straight and 12 of its last 13 games, and hasn’t cashed back-to-back moneyline paydays since August 27.
Cleveland sends Aaron Laffey to the hill to face Detroit’s Edwin Jackson. Laffey is 0-3 with an 8.04 ERA over his last three starts for the Tribe.
7-1-1 O/U in their last nine contests as a favorite, the Tigers lead the season series 11-4, and are 4-1 at Progressive Field this season.
