MLB Betting: Astros at Phillies

In MLB betting action tonight, Cole Hamels will try to help the Philadelphia Phillies get closer to the division crown when they attempt to beat the Houston Astros.

The Phillies were swept at Houston in four games Sept. 4-7, and are 5-11 in the last 16 meetings at Citizens Bank Park.

Hamels lost to the Astros on Sept. 6, when he allowed four runs and eight hits with six strikeouts in six innings. For his career, the lefthander is 3-1 with a 4.66 ERA in six starts against Houston.

The Astros will give Wilton Lopez his first start in place of fellow rookie Bud Norris, who’s been shut down for the remainder of the season due to an accumulation of innings pitched.

The righthander, who will face Philadelphia for the first time, has allowed two unearned runs and seven hits in three innings over his last two games.
