The St. Louis Cardinals (MLB odds list them as -105 favorites) will try to build on winning consecutive games against one of the worst staffs in the majors tonight when they open a three-game interleague series with the Cleveland Indians.

The Cardinals will try to continue their resurgence against the Indians, whose 5.23 staff ERA is ahead of only major league-worst Washington.

St. Louis is 4-10 against Cleveland, and the clubs haven't met since the Cardinals lost two of three in 2006.
The Cards will send Joel Pineiro to the mound as he tries to avoid a fourth consecutive losing start for the first time since 2003.

Pineiro is 3-2 with a 5.66 ERA in 10 games against Cleveland, all when he was in the AL from 2000-07.
The Indians will turn to rookie David Huff, who is looking to win his second straight start.
