MLB Betting Lines: White Sox at Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox look to bounce back after a tough series against the New York Yankees tonight when they host the Chicago White Sox.

While they seem to have played themselves out of the division race, the -190 favored Red Sox still have a one-game lead over Texas for the Wild Card. Boston is trying to take advantage of a stretch of playing 15 of its next 22 at home, where it is 39-20.

The White Sox played their last three series against the worst teams in each division of the AL but went 5-4 over that stretch. They dropped two of three against Baltimore over the weekend.

Clay Buchholz will try to take advantage of Chicago’s hitting struggles when he takes the mound for Boston in the opener.

Chicago will counter with Jose Contreras, who recorded his first win in more than a month by defeating Kansas City 4-2 on Wednesday.
