In his first start against the Boston Red Sox as a New York Yankee, CC Sabathia looks to lead his team to its first win over its archrivals tonight in the finale of a three-game set at Fenway Park.

Despite their struggles against the Red Sox, the Yankees dropped just one game back of them in the AL East with Wednesday's 6-5 loss. But a win over the Sox would be better.

Sabathia has been a workhorse lately, and the Yankees could use a long outing from him after starters A.J. Burnett and Chien-Ming Wang both hit the showers early in the first two games of the series.

Sabathia will be trying to slow down a Red Sox team that has won seven of its last nine overall and eight in a row over the Yankees dating to last season.

Boston's Brad Penny will also make his first appearance in the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry.
