The Boston Globe and Boston Herald are reporting that Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling has a shoulder injury that could keep him out of the rotation to start the season and perhaps even the entire year.
The injury could be so severe that the Red Sox have been exploring voiding his $8 million dollar, one year contract completely.
The Globe reported that Schilling recently visited Dr. Craig Morgan, who performed the right-hander's shoulder surgery in 1995.
It's been evident the hall-of-fame right hander's career has been winding down. He missed two months of the 2007 season with injury and was just 9-8 with a 3.87 ERA. However, the Sox were hoping to get one more year out of the veteran.
