MLB Odds: Kansas City at Tampa Bay

Matt Garza will try building on a great start for the Tampa Bay Rays when they host Kansas City on MLB odds this Thursday.

Garza (3-1, 2.17 ERA) is a big part of Tampa’s hot start. The righthander finally suffered a hiccup last week though, losing 6-5 to Toronto after surrendering five runs in five innings.

Garza hasn’t had much success against the Royals. He’s 0-4 with a 4.21 ERA in six career starts against Kansas City.

Luke Hochevar (2-0, 3.55 ERA) didn’t receive a decision in last week’s 9-7 loss to Minnesota, but he deserves some blame; the righthander allowed five runs (four earned) and eight hits over 6.2 innings. He did strike out seven batters, though.

Hochevar has been lit up in three career starts against Tampa, going 0-1 with a 6.46 ERA.
