MMA Lines: UFC 95 Results

For a relatively minor PPV event, Diego Sanchez and Joe Stevenson put in a major effort for Saturday’s lightweight bout at UFC 95 in London. Sanchez (-290) won his debut at 155 pounds with a unanimous decision; Stevenson relied almost entirely on punches as expected, while Sanchez displayed some Muay Thai skills in what was essentially a kickboxing match.

Arguably the more notable result of the evening saw Paulo Thiago (+325) stun Josh Koscheck with a first-round knockout in his Octagon debut. Koscheck (-450) found himself on the canvas after a Thiago right uppercut-left hook combo. Those strikes earned Thiago an extra $40,000 for providing the Knockout of the Night.

The other winners from the main card at the O2 Arena were Demian Maia with a triangle choke on Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt by TKO over Wilson Gouveia, and Nottingham’s own Dan Hardy dropping Rory Markham with a left hook.
