Facing Japanese mixed martial arts legend Yuki Kondo for the Bodog Fight middleweight title, Trevor Prangley was well aware that he was in for a challenge. As one of the most experienced fighters out of Japan, Kondo had a huge amount of experience with over 70 fights under his belt. He also presented a dangerous, unorthodox style, combining unpredictable striking with sneaky submission holds. To beat him, Prangley knew he had to be ready for anything.

"The main thing about training for Yuki Kondo was the striking," Prangley told Bodog Nation from his home in Idaho. "He's a southpaw, so I got a lot of southpaw sparring in, kept working my wrestling and training my overall game. I was going to try to beat him on the feet, and I knew that if I got in trouble, I could always take him down."

Training at the American Kickboxing Academy, the South African native had a vast array of training partners to help him prepare.
