UFC light heavyweight fighter Michael "The Count" Bisping (14-0-0) says his victory over Matt "The Hammer" Hammill (3-1-0) at UFC 75: Champion vs. Champion is rightly deserved.

Saturday, September 8 in London, England, the British MMA hero went to war with Hamill for 3 hard rounds. A decorated wrestling champion, the American was able to take Bisping down at will for the first two rounds and land hard jabs and right hands throughout the fight. In the third round, Bisping returned fire with sharp punching, but was unable to score a knockout. In the end, one judge gave all 3 rounds to Hamill, while 2 other judges gave 2 rounds to Bisping for the split decision victory.

Bisping was incredulous at the post-fight press conference and had some choice words for the press who questioned the validity of his win. With a large gash under one eye and the other eye beaten to a pulp, the proud fighter said the judges made the right decision. "Of course I (explitive) won," he said. "I gave him the first, then I took the second and third. I gave him an (expletive) boxing lesson."

Losing for the first time in his MMA career, Hamill seemed gracious in defeat. "He beat me fair and square," he said, "but I thought I won that fight."
