After five grueling rounds inside the octagon, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (28-6-0) is still the UFC light heavyweight champion.
Saturday, Sept. 8 in London, England, "Rampage" retained his title with a unanimous decision victory over former Pride champion Dan "Hollywood" Henderson (22-6-0). Although Henderson came out strong and controlled the opening minutes, Jackson took over as the fight went into the later rounds. Both fighters threw hard striking combinations throughout the fight but most of the match was spent on the mat, with Jackson on top for the majority of the five-round battle.
“A lot of people don’t know that I’ve got jiu-jitsu,” Jackson said afterwards.
In the undercard, local fan favorite Michael "The Count" Bisping (14-0-0) defeated Amercian wrestling champion Matt "The Hammer" Hamill (3-1-0) by split decision, while Croation super-striker Mirko "Cro Cop" Filopovic (22-6-2) lost by decision to Chieck Kongo (21-3-1).
