After regaining the Hook N Shoot title from Matt Troyer on Sept. 29, hard-hitting middleweight John Turner spoke with the Hook N Shoot news ticker about capturing the title.

"I knew I won the fight before I ever stepped in the ring," he said. "I knew he was not training harder than me, he was not stronger than me, he was not more technically sound than me. It was going to take a miracle like last time for him to beat me. I never question whether or not I'm going to win. I don't like to cloud my head with negative thoughts."

"I think Troyer is a great guy," Turner explained. "He is already good, but I think he has the potential to be a big name competitor in the future. I would like to smash him upside the head with a bat to see if he would go out, because that kid can take a punch. He has a hard head. I hit him hard a few times and he took it like a champ."

So what's next for the Rising Star champion?

"I plan on fighting again in November," he replied. "I'm already back in the gym training. So the plan is to smash some dude's face and rock the devil horns when my hand is being raised."
