A few weeks ago, rumors were circulating that UFC Hall-of-Fame member Ken Shamrock (26-12-2) would be the man to face Micheal “The Count” Bisping (13-0-0) at UFC 75 in London, England.

While ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ stopped short of confirming the rumors, he did say in an interview with NBC sports that "the negotiations are going good with the UFC."

Quick on the heels of this statement, UFC president Dana White quashed the rumors. "I don’t know if he wants to fight,” he said about Shamrock on Yahoo! Sports, “but we haven’t spoken to him and I’m not planning to use him."

Shortly afterwards, it was announced that wrestler Matt Hamill (5-0-0) would be one to face Bisping on September 8.

Now, according to the Fight Network’s webpage, Shamrock’s contract with the UFC has been terminated.

“They wanted to put a fight in there where they could build up Michael Bisping ‘cause he’s up and coming,” Shamrock said on Fight Network Radio. “Now, all of a sudden when I say ‘yes, let’s fight’ they’re ducking me. Not only are they ducking me, they don’t want me back in there.”

While “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” might be in the evening of his fighting career, other fighting organizations will surely be knocking at his door for his services. So the question is, where will he go?

In a conference call to promote his June 22 fight against Phil Baroni (10-8-0), Shamrock’s brother Frank Shamrock (21-8-1) addressed the idea of fighting his own brother, calling it “"an idea that's been floated around."

Ken isn’t opposed to the idea either. “I’m a fighter. I’ll fight anybody,” Ken told The Fight Network. “I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been. I’m mentally focused. I’m physically focused. I’m training. I’ll fight anybody right now.”
