Mount St. Mary's Wins NCAA Opening Round 69-60 Over Coppin

March Madness was the only way to describe the NCAA opening round game in Dayton, Ohio. Coppin State, who was ahead the entire first round, lost their edge, giving Mount St. Mary's a 69-60 victory.

Though Coppin State was up by as much as 9 points, after halftime, Mount St. Mary's Chris Vann earned a three-point play which paved the way for the Mountaineers turn-around.

Mount St. Mary's Jeremy Goode, a 5-foot-9 sophomore guard, earned 21 points for his team to lead his team to their first NCAA victory. Goode emerged as the team's MVP, hitting fadeaway jumpers over taller players, as well four free throws in the last 27 seconds.
