Kevin Garnett had missed only one previous game this season because of a suspension before an illness kept him home for Sunday's win against Minnesota. Paul Pierce carried the team to the victory with 36 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The Sixers have lost five of six against the Celtics since Boston acquired Garnett and Ray Allen before the 2007-08 season. The Celtics, who are 10-1 within the division this season, won their first two meetings with the Sixers by an average of 21.5 points.

Allen has averaged 19.5 points and shot 65.2 percent against Philadelphia this season.
