NBA Basketball Betting: LA Lakers vs. Miami Heat

Tonight the Los Angeles Lakers open a four-game eastern road trip against a Miami Heat club that's lost three in a row since its longest winning streak of the season.

L.A. is looking for its fifth straight victory and 15th in 17 games following Tuesday night's 116-114 win over the New York Knicks.

Lamar Odom recorded season highs of 17 points and 12 rebounds despite an upper respiratory infection. He practiced Wednesday and is expected to play tonight.

That's good news for backers, as Odom is averaging 13.3 points, 15.0 boards, and 5.7 assists in three games in Miami with the Lakers.

Pau Gasol (strep throat) didn't practice Wednesday and is questionable.

Dwyane Wade leads the league with 28.0 points per game and he averaged 18.5 in two losses to the Lakers last season.

Los Angeles has won four of the last five meetings in the series.
