As the postseason chase heats up and teams start jockeying for position, an easy night at the office is certainly welcome. That is just what the L.A. Lakers are getting tonight at Staples.
While the Lakers look for their sixth straight win at home, the Minnesota Timberwolves are going for just their third victory since late January.
Kobe Bryant is scoring 30.4 points per game as the Lakers have won seven straight against Minnesota, including three this season.
While the Lakers have been able to overcome the injury to Andrew Bynum, Minnesota has not recovered from the loss of their emerging young center Al Jefferson.
The Timberwolves are 1-9 without Jefferson and have dropped their last seven, including the past five by an average of 16.0 points since a narrow loss to the Lakers.
Minnesota has lost 27 of its last 31 road games versus the Lakers, including five in a row since 2005.
