In the NBA, big wins or big injuries can shift a team's season in the blink of an eye.

Andrew Bynum's knee injury during the week is already hurting bettors' wallets. The Lakers needed double overtime to get by the lowly Seattle SuperSonics on Jan. 14. And on Jan. 17, they lost 106-98 to Phoenix, a team they had easily beaten twice earlier this season. The loss of Bynum pushes them out of our top five, and unless Kwame Brown can put up Bynum-like numbers (judging by Brown's eight-point, seven-turnover performance versus the Suns, it's unlikely), they'll stay out for some time.

Taking their place is the hot Washington Wizards. Washington grabbed two huge wins over the Boston Celtics to make them 7-3 ATS since late December, and the wins pushed them onto our radar as a team that shouldn't be ignored in any matchup on the East Coast.
