NBA Lines: Miami at Chicago

It isn’t enough for NBA teams to show improvement – not from a betting standpoint. Both the Chicago Bulls (23-29 SU, 25-26-1 ATS) and the Miami Heat (27-24 SU, 23-26-2 ATS) have better records than they did last year, but neither is making a dent at the pay window.
Much bigger things were expected of the Heat this year with Dwyane Wade relatively healthy and No. 2-overall draft pick Michael Beasley joining Shawn Marion at the 2-3-4 positions. But it’s been almost all Wade and his career-high 26.9 points per 36 minutes. Beasley is coming off the bench, and Marion has been in and out of the lineup with injuries.
The Bulls are likewise getting a little less than hoped from first-overall pick Derrick Rose. His 16.0 PER is commendable for a rookie point guard, but Rose is no Chris Paul – he had a 22.1 PER in his first year.
