NBA Rumors: Kidd Trade Talks Heat Up

With Jason Kidd's public trade request from the New Jersey Nets, the trade talks for the NBA's triple-double king have picked up.

The latest has Kidd going to the Mavericks in a three-way trade which includes the Portland Trailblazers. ESPN is reporting the trade involves the following players going to the following destinations:

• Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks from New Jersey.
• Devin Harris and possibly forward Brandon Bass to Portland from Dallas.
• New Jersey would receive draft and financial considerations along with Dallas' Jerry Stackhouse and a trio of young prospects from Portland (Travis Outlaw, Channing Frye and Jarrett Jack).

According to ESPN the only reason this deal hasn't gone through is Portland's reluctance to make any changes to their overachieving roster.
