NCAA Basketball Lines: Harvard vs. Princeton

Just last week, the Princeton Tigers were the most profitable team in Division I. (Princeton Images)"]

Then they honked three Ivy League games in five days to fall to 9-11 SU and 9-4 ATS. But at least Princeton can still pay the bills. The Harvard Crimson are scrounging for loose change at 10-12 SU and 3-10-1 ATS.

Call it a case of raised expectations. Harvard shocked the world last month by wrapping up the non-conference schedule with an 82-70 win at Boston College (-17). Then the Crimson went on a nasty 0-7 ATS slide, including four straight upsets and a narrow 64-63 victory against the bottom-feeders from Brown (+6) – all at home.

There’s no getting around how bad the Harvard defense is. But although the young Tigers are tremendous at defending the perimeter, they allow opponents to walk to the charity stripe with astonishing regularity. The Crimson will be happy to oblige.
