The Villanova Wildcats (20-4 SU, 13-7 ATS) qualify as underrated; they’re No. 13 in both the AP and the coaches polls, but they barely get a mention in the conventional sports press compared to Big East juggernauts like UConn and Pittsburgh. Compare Villanova’s ATS record to that of the West Virginia Mountaineers (16-8 SU, 9-12 ATS), who are playing at a far higher level than their win-loss record would indicate.

Using Ken Pomeroy’s influential advanced statistics, West Virginia is No. 8 in Division I in terms of efficiency – Villanova is No. 12. But the Mountaineers aren’t even close to being in the rankings, having played the second toughest schedule in the nation (No. 50 for the ”˜Cats). They have a great defense and a slow tempo on offense; the underdog-under parlay is 7-9 this year when WVU is favored. This should be another high-octane game.
