NCAA Football Odds: North Carolina at Connecticut

The 19th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels will try to shut down the Connecticut Huskies, who will be looking for revenge after last year’s lopsided loss when the teams meet at Rentschler Field on Saturday.

Despite the loss of star running back Donald Brown to the NFL, the Huskies had little trouble on the ground in their opener last Saturday, as Jordan Todman rushed for 157 yards and Andre Dixon added 100 in a 23-16 road victory over Ohio.

Last season, the Tar Heels upset then-No. 24 Connecticut , winning 38-12 at Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels scored TDs on an interception return and a blocked punt, earning the victory despite being outgained by the Huskies 378-263.

That was only the second meeting between the teams. North Carolina won the first matchup 48-21 in 1990.

The Tar Heels are listed as 4-point favorites and are 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games.
