The Memphis Tigers lead the all-time series 7-1 and have won the past four meetings, including a 70-64 decision on Feb. 2, 2008.

History is certainly against the Miners in this one. Memphis has not lost to UTEP since an 85-79 defeat in El Paso on Dec. 18, 1971.

The Miners are 31-78 all-time against teams ranked in the AP Top 25, including a 1-11 record this decade and an 0-2 mark this season with back-to-back losses in late November against Wake Forest and Arizona State.
