Offense gets all the hype but everyone knows that you don't win titles without some killer defense. A solid “D” can keep games close, and as we all know in the tourney all you need is one chance to win and move on.

Take a look at what teams maintained low field goal percentages on defense. They are the ones that really get after it and will most likely continue that trend in the tourney when games slow down even more and every possession becomes critical.

Schools such as Memphis (+800 to win), Gonzaga (+3000), Connecticut (+700), Florida State (+5000), and Purdue (+4000). All of these teams were in the Top 10 for field goal percentage allowed and will rely on their defense to carry them through each round.

The Big East is known for their tough defense and that conference is the class of college basketball. No wonder they have three top seeds as play begins on Thursday.
