With March Madness just days away, let’s fire off a quick NCAA Tournament preview & picks:
Midwest: Kansas has enjoyed a great season but draws the toughest bracket—Ohio State, Georgetown, Maryland, Michigan State. Plus, Tennessee and Oklahoma State, the only two teams to beat the Jayhawks. Pick: Tennessee
East: Kentucky and West Virginia should eventually meet in the East, with John Wall and the Wildcats prevailing. Pick: Kentucky
South: Duke tops the weakest bracket, with Villanova (crashing) and Purdue (lost Robbie Hummel) drawing high seeds. The Blue Devils shouldn’t have too difficult a time moving to the Final Four. Pick: Duke
West: Syracuse is a controversial No. 1 seed after struggling to the finish line. Look for Pittsburgh to make some noise but Kansas State to assert itself in the West. Pick: Kansas State.
