Thursday’s Sweet 16 matchup between the Memphis Tigers (33-3 SU, 23-12 ATS) and the Missouri Tigers (30-6 SU, 19-10 ATS) certainly won’t be lacking for talent. Memphis is the Conference USA champion; Missouri won the Big 12. Odds at press time had the C-USA Tigers laying five points and priced at –200 on the moneyline.

Missouri is a tough obstacle. As far as the press is concerned, the Big 12 Tigers are playing third fiddle to Oklahoma and Kansas. But Mizzou earned that conference title with a solid man defense and an up-tempo offense featuring 6-foot-9 Leo Lyons (14.6 points, 6.0 rebounds per game), essentially a small forward playing center.
