NFC North Goes To Minnesota... For Now

Now at 7-5, the Minnesota Vikings hold a one game lead over the Chicago Bears in the NFC North while the Green Bay Packers sit in third place at 5-7.

A 17-0 point second quarter was all the Vikings needed to take control of the ball game against Kyle Orton and the Bears, but they put together a 10-0 quarter in the fourth just to be sure.

Contributing to the 34-14 victory over their division rival was Vikings running back Adrian Peterson who rushed 131 yards and one touchdown.

Minnesota QB Guy Frerotte suffered a scare after a late hit knocked him out of commission, but the 37-year-old managed to keep it together throwing 210 yards and a touchdown.

The Bears' Orton threw three interceptions on the afternoon.
