Though the first taste of NFL exhibition play came last weekend in a Washington Redskins/Indianapolis Colts tilt, the rest of the league followed suit on Tuesday.

Looking to add their second win of the exhibition campaign, Redskins running back Clinton Portis helped his team strike early and they never looked back defeating the Buffalo Bills by a slim score of 17-14.

Elsewhere, the brilliant debut of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was spoiled in a 20-17 loss at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the first year pro's performance gives promise to the forthcoming season.

Additionally, the San Diego Chargers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-17 despite the absence of LaDainian Tomlinson. Vince Young and the Tennessee Titans destroyed the St. Louis Rams 34-13, while the Carolina Panthers squeezed by the Colts 23-20.

Newly acquired Chad Pennington was in uniform to watch his Miami Dolphins' first loss of the season, falling 17-6 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Houston Texans defeated the Denver Broncos 19-15.
