Adam "Pacman" Jones knows how to draw a media firestorm. But this time, he's managed to do it with issues related to football. For once.
In a Thursday radio interview with Atlanta station 680-AM, Pacman stated that - amongst other things - he'd like to play for the Dallas Cowboys.
"I just have to do what I have to do to get back on the field,'' Jones said. "Hopefully it won't be long and hopefully it will be a couple of more months. I would love to play for the Cowboys, America's team.''
It should be interesting to see if Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones decides to take a flyer on Pacman, who has been arrested six times since Tennessee selected him in the 2005 draft. His future is still unclear given that the suspension handed down from Roger Goodell is indefinite. Recently, Jones' attorney Manubir Arora was quoted as being worried that Pacman's NFL excommunication could include the entire 2008 season.
The Cowboys have taken on problem children in the past, with the most recent example being Terrell Owens. After he was sent packing from the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas jumped in and signed TO, pairing him with Tony Romo and making them one of the most productive QB-WR combos in the NFL.
