Before their anticipated matchup in Week 9 with the New England Patriots Peyton Manning and the Colts must face the Carolina Panthers. And though most experts feel this should be a walk in the park for the 6-0 Colts, keep in mind the Panthers are the one team in the NFL that Manning has never beaten.
"I reminded the team that four years ago we won a big Monday night game and had to come back and play Carolina on six days rest and we didn't win," Colts coach Tony Dungy said. "We'll focus on that."
The Panthers are 3-0 all-time against the Colts, and 43-year-old quarterback Vinny Testaverde will attempt to keep Carolina rolling with another solid performance - Testaverde threw for 206 passing yards and 1 TD in a 25-10 blowout of the improving Arizona Cardinals.
"Our guys rallied around him," Panthers coach John Fox said.
The Colts will be on the road against Carolina. Oddsmakers have opened Indianapolis as seven-point favorites.
The Colts play the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS. Get your NFL odds in the Bodog Sportsbook!
