NFL Betting Preview: Sinking Falcons Take On Hungry Buccaneers

What a week in Atlanta.
First, Michael Vick goes to jail for 23 months, then the Falcons get blown out on national TV on Monday Night Football and then their rookie coach up and quits.
No wonder they’re nearly a two-touchdown underdog against the point spread. Owner Arthur Blank called this season, “maybe the most difficult year in the history of the NFL for any team.”
With Bobby Petrino gone to Arkansas, long-time assistant Emmitt Thomas, 64, takes over as head coach for Atlanta’s final three games. The Dirty Birds look like dead ducks heading into Tampa Bay, where the Buccaneers can clinch the NFC South title.
The Bucs (8-5 straight up and against the spread) will get Jeff Garcia back at quarterback. Garcia has missed two games because of injury and should give the Bucs a huge boost as they aim to secure a postseason berth.
Atlanta (3-10 straight up, 6-7 ATS) has lost four in a row.
