NFL Cuts - David Carr Leads the List

Now it’s time for the easiest part of any coach’s job: the cuts.
The free-agency signing period kicks off tomorrow so many NFL teams are trimming the rosters. Yesterday, we reported that the Carolina Panthers had cut former first overall pick, quarterback David Carr.
Carr has been a bitter disappointment during his career. Carr had signed a two-year, $6-million contract last season but performed terribly in relief duty of injured started Jake Delhomme and was actually demoted to third-string behind unheralded signal-caller Matt Moore.
But Carr wasn't the only veteran to be let go. The Chiefs cut CB Ty Law. The Colts released DT Anthony McFarland along with LB Rob Morris while the Ravens said good-bye to RB Mike Anderson. The Bills cut RB Anthony Thomas and the Vikings did the same to QB Kelly Holcomb. The Browns said see ya to DL Orpheus Roye and the Bucs cut DL Kevin Carter and DE Greg Spires. And, finally, the Eagles have cut DE Jevon Kearse.
