Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, who are coming off their first loss, should be a better indication if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are truly making progress.

NFL betting odds have the Saints listed as 14.5-point favorites.

The Saints beat Tampa Bay 38-7 five weeks ago, prompting Raheem Morris to demote the defensive co-ordinator and take over play-calling responsibilities.

And while the defense has been better statistically over the past four weeks, the Bucs lost three consecutive times to backup quarterbacks before shutting down Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks.

With games remaining against the Saints and another NFC South rival, Atlanta, Morris and his players are hoping to build on the things they were able to do to dominate the Seahawks on Sunday.

The Buccaneers are 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings in New Orleans. The Saints are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a SU loss.
