The accolades continue to come in for Tom Brady.
After winning the National Football League's MVP award last week, the New England Patriots signal-caller added to his trophy case Tuesday, narrowly edging out teammate Randy Moss for the Associated Press 2007 Offensive Player of the Year honor.
Brady received 35.5 of the 50 votes cast for the award. Moss finished second with 12.5 while another New England reciever - Wes Welker - got one. Green Bay QB Brett Favre received one as well.
But it was the gaudy numbers Brady put up this year - a 68.9 completion percentage, 117.2 passer rating with just eight interceptions - that distanced him from the group. He threw for 50 touchdowns, beating Peyton Manning's old record by one - with 23 of them going to Moss. It should be mentioned that Moss also broke an impressive record himself, bettering the old single-season TD mark held by Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice.
Currently, Brady and the New England Patriots are 13-point favorites at home against Jacksonville this weekend in the AFC Divisional playoffs.
