NFL Football Odds: New Orleans at Philadelphia

Injuries certainly make NFL betting difficult. With Donovan McNabb’s status for Sunday’s home opener against the New Orleans Saints in question, a Philadelphia Eagles team with three former Pro Bowl quarterbacks on its roster might have to give third-year signal-caller Kevin Kolb his first NFL start.

Kolb was 7-of-11 for 23 yards and was sacked twice in relief of McNabb last week. He’s only thrown 45 passes in the regular season.

Jeff Garcia will serve as Kolb’s backup if McNabb can’t play and will be the No. 3 quarterback Sunday if he returns.

The Eagles will also be missing two-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Shawn Andrews, placed on injured reserve Tuesday due to a back injury suffered in November.

The Eagles have won three straight at home against New Orleans, most recently a 33-20 victory Nov. 23, 2003. The Saints are 2-8 all-time in Philadelphia, last winning in 1991.
