As if getting off to an 0-2 start wasn't bad enough, now the Philadelphia Eagles might have to deal with losing arguably their most valuable offensive performer.
Brian Westbrook is among five Philadelphia starters who will miss Wednesday's practice. The running back is scheduled to have an MRI later in the day and will be examined further by the team's medical staff.
Others who will not practice include free safety Brian Dawkins, cornerback Lito Sheppard, tight end L.J. Smith and offensive tackle William Thomas.
Currently, the Eagles are seven-point favorites at home vs. Detroit this Sunday. The total has been set at 44.5 points.
