Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants, Sunday Night Football arrived.

The Giants weren't only out-gunned 45-35 but they lost key players to injury. Top defensive end Osi Umenyiora and running back Bradon Jacobs left the game with knee injuries, and starting quarterback Eli Manning left the game with a bruised shoulder.

"I didn't want to go in there and make anything worse, land on it or get hit on it and make something where I miss next week," said Manning, who completed 28-of-41 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.

Despite not seeing it as a serious injury, Manning does plan to have an MRI on the shoulder. Umenyiora's x-rays showed no break, while Couglin said Jacobs' injury was and MCL tear. He'll miss five weeks.
