With no receivers catching more than 27 balls last year, the Titans need an experienced wideout and have shown interest in former Carolina Panther Keyshawn Johnson.

“He’s a possibility here,” Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said. “You look at the consistency of his career, year-in, year-out he’s been a productive guy. He’s a big guy, a big target, a possession guy, a veteran. I think those are things that would interest us.”

The Panthers released Johnson earlier this month after drafting a younger version of the 11-year veteran - Dwayne Jarrett. With 70 catches for for 815 yards and four touchdowns last season, he'll immediately become the best wideout on the team if the Titans pick him up.

According to Tennessean.com Titans coach Jeff Fisher and Johnson plan to meet on Friday.

"There's mutual interest I'd say right now," coach Jeff Fisher said. "I think we'll probably look into the possibility of pursuing things. Where that goes, I can't tell you."
