NFL Odds: Bills, Raiders, Giants, Talking Matt Leinart Trade

It appears it's only inevitable that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart will not be with the team come Week 1.

Leinart, Arizona's No. 10 pick in 2006 draft, lost his starting job earlier this week and NFL insiders have been indicating that the waiver wire could be next. However, ESPN insider Adam Schefter is saying today that the Cards are trying to get something via trade with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, or Oakland Raiders.

Obviously it makes sense for the Cardinals. Leinart's rocky relationship with head coach Ken Whisenhunt appears unrepairable, to get anything in return would be a bonus. But does it make sense for the Bills, Giants or Raiders? Can he improve their NFL Odds, Props and Futures?

The Giants and Raiders already have starters at quarterback, and Leinart doesn't seem equipped to take their jobs anytime soon. However, both teams are desperate for some backup help, making Leinart an enticing addition that will likely come cheap.

Then you have the Bills. Although the coaching staff is completely behind current starter Trent Edwards, with such an barren amount of talent in Buffalo it wouldn't hurt to give a first round prospect and former Heisman Trophy winner a shot.
