NFL Sponsors Head for the Crapper

Two things that don't go together: Big, burly NFL football players and quilted toilet paper. (AP Images)"]
Do you think about football while you're taking a crap? Most men do. Well, good thing, because now the NFL is inking a sponsorship deal that will appeal to men everywhere. It's no secret that the recession has hit everyone a little hard - even the NFL. Now, teams are scrambling for sponsors - and beer just ain't cutting it anymore. Enter Proctor and Gamble, who make Old Spice deodorants and cologne, toilet paper, shampoos and Pepto Bismol. Although nothing has been announced officially, the company is ironing out a deal with the NFL that would mean a multi-year sponsorship which would make the "Official Locker Room Product of the NFL."
The NFL's marketing team believes there is definitely a connection between "tough players and tough products" for the tolietries company to become one of the league's 21 major marketing partners. Others include Coors Light and Reebok. It has yet to be announced what products will be included in the deal.
