Mario Williams hasn't done much to live up to the hype of being the first overall selection in 2006. He made some strides to get there on Sunday.

Williams led a Houston defense that allowed no second half points, and Andre Johnson returned for 120 yards receiving and a touchdown to help the Texans to a 23-10 win over the error-prone New Orleans Saints.

Williams, booed when he was picked first over Reggie Bush in the 2006 draft, sacked Drew Brees, had a forced fumble, several hurries and finished with six tackles.

Offensively, Matt Schaub was brilliant in bringing the Texans back to .500, completing 21 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson - who missed the last seven games with a knee sprain - was back to form as well. He got in front of Jason David for a 73-yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter to put Houston ahead 7-3. Johnson pointed to the crowd as he entered the end zone and then jumped in the stands for congratulations from the fans.

It was another disappointing day for New Orleans, losers of two straight. Bush had 15 carries for 34 yards, 12 catches for 70 yards and two fumbles. Brees didn't fare much better throwing two interceptions to just one TD.
