NFL Week 9 Picks: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

It is hard to believe that Daunte Culpepper could be coming out of retirement, but that is the word in Kansas City as the Chiefs look for badly needed help at QB. While that is going on, the 1-6 Chiefs are at least feeling a little better about Tyler Thigpen, who will take them into the second part of the season following season-ending injuries in the same week to both Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard.

Even though the Chiefs lost 28-24 to the Jets, Thigpen hit 25 of 36 passes for 280 yards and two TDs with no interceptions in just his second NFL start.

Can Thigpen do it again this week against the 9-point favored Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a pass defense that is ranked seventh in the league?   The Buccaneers sacked QB Brad Johnson three times and had their hands on several passes in Sunday's 13-9 loss to the Cowboys.
