Two Canadian rivals will face off Thursday night when the Montreal Canadiens host the Edmonton Oilers.

Montreal (33-39-6) is gaining momentum in NHL hockey betting with three straight wins and a 4-1-0 record in its past five games. The Habs took care of Tampa Bay on Tuesday, winning 5-3.

The Canadiens got a goal and three points out of Scott Gomez in the win over Tampa. Role player Mathieu Darche potted a pair in the victory.

The Oilers (21-39-6) have won two of three but are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Senators. Fernando Pisani scored Edmonton’s lone goal.

The Canadiens and Oilers met in Edmonton during the first few weeks of the season, with the Oilers earning a 3-2 win. Patrick O’Sullivan scored for the Oil, while Brian Gionta tickled the twine for Montreal.
